Alcest is famous, but it was only until recently I listened to the band's debut and it's nothing like I have ever heard of before in metal. If you so happen to know the New Age sound like Enya which is relaxing and soothing, that's how I would use it to describe Alcest's music too and I've been told this is called Shoegaze.
