If Darkwater is a Progressive Metal band that you like and you would like more of Power Metal version of it, here you go as "Chapter II: Aftermath" is the answer to your prayers because Harmony's lineup is pretty much the same as Darkwater. Even if you don't know the band Darkwater but want to listen to some non-cheesy Power Metal, you should try this out.

It's probably the first time which the lyrics of an album caught my attention more than the music. Yep, it's a concept album and the story is actually intriguing to me. Not saying is bad of course.

"Andromeda Unchained" saw former session musician Jacob Hansen as the band's new front man (also a renowned producer). As a result, the band sounds quite different from previous albums and dare I say, sounds more Power Metal like, though I also have to stress that they have not lost theire progressive side at all. Subsequent listens reveals the incredible depth of the album.

Anubis Gate comes from Denmark and "Purification" is their debut. Playing Power Metal and mixing it with Prog, they are not afraid to slow down and they don't sound "happy" like the usual European Power Metal bands, but they are still accessible without being simple.
