Gothenburg Metal with a female singer would probably remind you of Angela Gossow of Arch Enemy. But no, Amaran's Johanna De Pierre doesn't do death vocals, nor operatic ones, just singing the natural way. So do give this album a shot if you are into melodic heavy/death metal but with a female vocalist that doesn't do it the symphonic/death metal style. Too bad they disbanded quite a while ago...
