The build up towards "A Virgin And A Whore" is another masterpiece - "Chaotic Beauty". Though some may find it a bit more on the simpler side in terms of song writing, though it is nevertheless still superior to more recent ETOS material imo.

Guitarist on "A Virgin And A Whore" Antti Kokko left ETOS to concentrate his efforts on Kalmah and we see a change of musical direction here which is also contributed by the addition of Janne Tolsa, the band's new keyboardist that also plays in Tarot. With a more Symphonic approach, Tony Kakko from Sonata Arctica and Marco Hietala of Tarot and Nightwish as back vocalist, "Before the Bleeding Sun" sounds really different from "A Virgin And A Whore", but still a good addition to the band's discography.

Regarded by many as ETOS's pinnacle, I cannot agree more. Despite listening it for the first time 8 years after it's release, I was still quite blown away by the 2001 ETOS and the keyboards really stood out. As much as I enjoyed later releases "Before The Bleeding Sun" and "Children Of The Dark Waters", "A Virgin And A Whore" is definitely my favourite among the three.

Much controversy about whether this album is a redemption from the widely hated "Are You Dead Yet?". Can now find out for yourself if you haven't yet.

The music of Children Of Bodom is really melodic and fast paced with Death vocals, along with the rather technical guitar solos, catchy riffs and choruses, they are very easy to get into, thus their success.

Follow The Reaper is definitely my favoutite COB album. Alexi "Wildchild" Lahio is amazing on the guitars as usual, but what stands out to me in this album in particular are the keyboard melodies and its presence throughout in general.

Children Of Bodom doesn't really need much introduction as they are one of the most successful bands from Finland. Hatebreeder is their second studio album and is considered by many fans their best.

Here comes the very much anticipated album of the Finnish band Eternal Tears of Sorrow in high quality. This is the first time where Jarmo Kylmanen is featured as a full time member, so there's more clean vocals which some may find off-putting while others may find it a bit more varied.
