Genre: Cello Heavy Metal
Bit Rate: 320

Compared to previous albums, Worlds Collide sounds heavier to me, but a bit more synthetic rather than just raw cello and drums. It also features more songs with vocals (4 in fact) by guest musicians, including Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour), Till Lindermann (Rammstein), Adam Gontier (Three Days Grace) and Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil).

As their self-titled album, it is the first time for an Apocalyptica album to feature only self written compositions and it's the best evidence as to how the band has matured over the years.

Despite the new line up, Reflections is among the most popular Apocalyptica albums. With the guest appearance of former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo, the rhythms are more prominent while the cello riffs seems to have gone on a more violent edge.

My personal favourite Apocalyptica album. It has good covers and great compositions of their own. It's their last album with their original lineup as a band as Antero Manninen would leave, and this is also their last thrashy album.

Second album of this cello metal band, they start to have their own compositions such as Harmageddon, M.B.. Other than Metallica covers they also covered Sepultura, Faith No More and Pantera songs.

Apocalyptica is a unique band that plays their metal music with the classical Cello. Instead of Symphonic Metal as some may expect, they do Thrash, and they do it well too! This is their first album recorded way back in 1996 where the started out as a Metallica cover band. So if you like Metallica with a twist, give this a shot.
